Each club may enter one pair in each category, there is no handicap limit for entry in these categories, but the limit for playing purposes is 24 with the exception of the junior category where it is 36 and all higher handicaps will be reduced to these limits

Competition Format – Foursomes Strokeplay over 18 holes with pairs playing off scratch in one category, and with half the combined handicap allowance for the Handicap and Junior categories. All category matches will be from the men’s tees (normally white) and with Girls playing from ladies’ tees (usually red) Players will receive course levelling strokes in accordance with section 1 Rule 5 paragraph b and in the matchplay also paragraph c.

Clubs must submit both the names and handicaps and CDH ID numbers, to the Competition Secretary no later than 12 noon on the Monday prior to the weekend on which the Championship is due to take place.

Player’s names must be in the same format as that in which they are held on the computerised handicapping system at their Home Club

Starting Sheets for each Championship will be emailed to clubs and also posted on the Union’s Web Site on the Tuesday prior to the weekend on which the Qualifier is due to take place

The top 8 available scores in each category (scratch, Handicap and Junior) will qualify for the Foursomes Matchplay, with the quarter Finals on Monday 22^nd July 2019 and the semi-finals on Monday 5^th August 2019 and the finals on Sunday 15^th September 2019 at Outlane GC, anyone who cannot play on all these dates will not be entered into the matchplay draws, and the winners will receive the Foursomes Matchplay Championship Trophy for each category and the winners and runners up in each category will receive vouchers.

Any club pairs who agree to play in the Quarter, Semi Final and Final, and then don’t play for whatever reason, unless in extenuating circumstances, will not be allowed to enter this competition the following year, in line with Section 3 Rule 5 a and b of the hhdugc Rules

There will no presentation after this competition.
