Junior League Semi-Final & Final
Thrilling Semi- Final and Final
The Junior League Semi Final and Final produced a brilliant days golf with Huddersfield clinching an extra play-off hole win against Crosland Heath after they were locked together with a 4-4 scoreline.
The golf played in the Final was a delight to watch for the spectators and it was Huddersfields Ben Walker just getting the better of his Union team mate George Hanson on the first extra hole after the former had won their previous clash as the top two players have a sudden death play-off for the Title.
The earlier match of Jess Hoskins and Oliver Bingham saw the former winning to give Huddersfield a 2-0 lead but then came Crosland Heaths Christian Salvini and Sam Mcdonald winning their matches to take the tie into extra time.
The first Semi- Final was a walkover for Huddersfield as Woodsome Hall conceded their match to give their opponents a walk over but then the second Semi- Final produced a classic with Willow Valley just coming up short as this also went to extra holes to produce a winner and it was Crosland Heath George Hanson just getting the better of Habib Khan who had beaten him in their opening match up .
Heaths Oliver Bingham and Sam McDonald held their nerves to win Jack Hampshaw and Harry Wright in their singles matches to give Crosland Heath the advantage but Willow Valleys Harry Micklethwaite took the tie into extra time and it was George Hanson who clinched a win at the first extra hole over Habib Khan
The spectators witnessed an excellent days golf as all 3 teams produced a THRILLER
